I'd like to introduce to you.
She just recently joined the DA-community and needs a little love and encouragement regarding her creative work, which consists of somber urbex-photography and (mainly portrait-)pencil drawings.
Here are some excerpts from her portfolio:
I see a good deal of potential there and invite everyone who is into these things to have a look, give some feedback and tipps or maybe just send some nice words. I bet it will be appreciated and I hope she will feel as welcome here as I felt, when I first joined.
Have a good one, people.
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
First enrolled in 2008, but due to time- and self-confidence-issues bolted 3 years ago. Now I'm back for 5 weeks and I'm pretty happy so far.
2. What does your username mean?
I believe that you can only consider soemthing beautiful when there is something ugly about it that contrasts with it. that's why I chose this name - to me it creates the impression of something that's pleasant to look at but deep down at the core is noxious and virulent.
Also, the name was inspired by:
3. Describe yourself in 3 words!
Needs. More. Practice.
4. Are left handed or right?
Right. Though I'm pretty good with both hands when it comes to video gaming.
5. What was your first deviation?
A couple of arms in a vase...'nuff said...
this time:
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Traditional. Usually a weird mixture of surrealism and...nothing very profound.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I'd love to pick up singing lessons again...
8. What was your first favourite?
An abstract piece about how human conscious is becoming obsolete by a wonderful French artist who, sadly, is not part of the DA-community anymore.
the first one when I re-joined was:
well, there areDamaiMikaz
, a DA-mainstay who offers tons of insight and sound advice to the whole community, drawuntilithurts
, who makes me question my way of working without compromising my own style andJoshuagoymer
, whose art simply fascinates me on a certain level, because it is as creative and significant as it is "simple"
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
They all do, in a way. Every deviation I see contributes to my day, my emotions and thoughts.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Any dry media...all sorts of pencils, charcoal and crayon. furthermore ink and occasionally watercolor. I like to experiment with food every once in a while as well.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Living room coffee table...that's where I am surrounded by green plants, record players, shelves full of books, records and cds and that's where my dog usually hangs out...
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When I first joined, someone out of the blue gave me a one-year-premium-membership (or should I say "core-membership"? that sounds less elitist... ) on my second day. I don't know why and what for and he / she never answered my multitude of "thank you's" and "I love you's" so...maybe that was the DA-version of a tax-evasion but I for once really felt acknowledged and appreciated and that I will never forget and I still like to think of the DA community as people like this: generous, open-minded and...well...a community
Concluding this I want to say "Happy Birthday" to DeviantArt and the DA-community.
Thank you to all who might read this, thank you to my recent watchers and everyone who supported me in one way or another.
Cheers.
